The broadcaster, STV, has been awarded licences to run local TV stations for Edinburgh and Glasgow. The successful bids – which were submitted in association with local universities, Edinburgh Napier University and Glasgow Caledonian University – were announced this morning by broadcasting regulators, Ofcom.
