There is a new list of business successes to add to those organised by other publications. It recognises Scotland’s fastest growing private companies. Despite the apparent economic gloom, many Scottish companies are performing well. Indeed, regardless of the current economic malaise in the world, some businesses in Scotland are booming.
The legendary Scottish entrepreneurial and inventive spirit is alive and well. Demonstrated by all companies on the list enjoying significant double digit growth. Most impressive is the top firm on the list, Everwarm from Bathgate. Considering it was only founded in February 2011, the company has grown rapidly to become the largest independent energy services company in Scotland having installed energy efficiency measures in over 23,000 households since operations began.
The list’s creator, Barry Duddy (left) — founder of Personal Best Research — says that this is just the first in what will prove to be a regular series of future Scottish Business lists, including the Profit 50 (due in May) and Top 50 (due in September), which recognise the most profitable and the overall largest companies by sales in Scotland. As he points out, “If you run a business or know of one that you think could have made the list, let us know and we will review for next year.”
