trod – argument/anger/trouble
Trod, pronounced just as spelt, is one of these words which classes for Gaelic learners seldom seem to teach, but which are common among native speakers of the language, especially young kids. It is worth looking at because it is a versatile word to use. As a verb, it is used: Tha e a’ trod, meaning: He is raging/angry. A tearful child might say: Bha e trod rium to mean: He was angry to me. It can also be used as a noun. Bidh trod ann means there will be trouble.
