Easyjet has announced a series of new routes from Edinburgh Airport. The airline claims that 60 new jobs will be created as a result. It’s also projecting a 12% increase in passenger numbers this summer. It’s keen to stress two key points: there are as many passengers flying in to Edinburgh as departing and as many business people use its services as those travelling on holiday. Both EasyJet and Edinburgh Airport have relatively new Chief Executives. David Calder met both of them:
